A big shout-out is in order here to my dear friend Fot0 for a surprise that arrived in my mail this morning... A chestnut bone Northwoods Barlow! :thumbup:
This is my first Northwoods knife so I'm also tickled to finally own one of their products. It's first-rate fit n finish are par for the coarse with GEC, so not surprising. This is a big knife at 4.25" closed (blade is 3 7/16" from bolster to tip when opened) but Jason knows i carry big folders quite often, so this is a great model for my needs.
One other plus is that it's a close match to the chestnut 6232 Peanut he gifted me back in June! So these are now a perfect Duo as I always carry two pocket knives - one large and one small.
So far today it's opened some boxes and opened the mail and is resting comfy in my RFP (Peanut in the watch pocket).
I've always been a huge fan of the Barlow pattern so this big fella is now part of the rotation.
