A wonderful post on the swordforums....

Hey Joe! Thanks for posting that link.

SFI is a great place and I've been trying to keep us in good terms with each other. It's great to see some of the folks from over there joining up here as well to add flavor to our discussions, and I can only hope we get some more activity and participation in the future.

CHARGED WITH: Decimation of yard gnomes with stolen military equipment.

Howard,

The package has arrived.

That is wonderful, a very very big leap in the department of Sugata, especially the kissaki. (in comparison to the 1086 I have and the 1086 Antonio have when I visit his "Fire and Forge" exhibition)

It's a pity that I can't ship the blade to Japan and have it polished and mounted by the craftmans there.

It will be the blade I use for cutting. I'll mount it in a Tozando Iaito mount (Dontanki Masakuni) and use it for cutting. It fits almost exactly.

The older 1086 I have is still going strong though with a bit more curve, my teacher (we are Toyama Ryu) always said that I should use a sword of lesser curve to practise cutting

It has taken quite a bit of abuse and still I was unabe to bend it yet!!
