...a word about Eagle Industries, American Tomahawk, and Sept. 11th....

Eagle Industries is one of the finest manufacturers of high performance, super-high quality nylon tactical products in the world...this is why we chose their products to bundle with our Tomahawks.....Eagle's motto, "Quality by Design", can be seen in every sheath we furnish with a Hawk...particularly, the "Caracci" designed sheath. CJ has worked with Eagle on product design for over 15 years and has been with them that long due to their commitment to quality.

As a leader in their business, they have been absolutely and unequivocally slammed with military contract work and production issues since Sept. 11th....clocking 1000 hours of overtime per week and abruptly finding more space for machinery and people to run it.

Due to this issue, American Tomahawk has experienced understandable delays in its Eagle-made envelope style standard sheaths, "Caracci" designed sheaths, and exclusive order sheaths for some of our dealer customers.

As a result, we are totally backordered on "Caracci sheaths", and currently shipping Tomahawks without the standard envelope sheaths, BUT...with a commitment to get yours out the door as soon as it gets here from Eagle.

In an effort to supplement our temporary shortage, we are going to make our MOLLE military sheath by Tactical Tailor, www.tacticaltailor.com available to our commercial business.

This high-speed sheath utilizing Tactical Tailor President, Logan Coffey's MALICE system for MOLLE compatibility, as well as several LBE and Belt carry options, has been something only available to the U.S. Army from American Tomahawk. It has been under testing with our Vietnam Tactical Tomahawk at the Aberdeen Proving Ground.

We have stepped up production on this sheath today and will be including them as the standard sheath with some of our Vietnam Tomahawks: Field, Tactical, Collector, and Commemorative models.

There WILL be a period of time where both sheath styles will be shipping as our Hawks are shipped to dealers and retail customers. We will not be able to accommodate specific requests for either/or, so please accept our apologies in advance.

...if the Tactical Tailor sheaths come in first, you bet! They are making several hundred for us right now and we are not anticipating a very long wait at all...just a couple of weeks.

FYI, Hoodlum "Radio Ray" Tougas, wore one of their "hunters vests" in Volume 11 of the Woodsmaster series. He gave the vest high kudos!!!!!

Friday I had my concealx shoulder rig on with my Vietnam Tactical under a vest and folks couldn't believe I was wearing a tomahawk rig. They couldn't tell. We've come a long way since the days of a simple belt sheath.
