A word about the Manix 2

Hey guys,

I have put off posting for a while but have meaning to. I am currently deployed to NW Iraq. I have been carring a SE Manix 2 for almost 3 months now and I have to give credit where credit is due. I have and can carry anything I want. (My wife is supportive) I don't mind spending money when I get quality in return. I have carried Spyderco knives for some time and carried a Custom Waved Manix 1 for almost 4 years (it now sits happily in my safe with 2 years of combat worn on it to go to my son) and thought I could never find a replacement. Quite simply the manix 2 is the best knife I have ever used. The S90V has kept an amazing edge and the knifes ergonomics are amazing. I have heard rumors of a larger model coming out and I will be buying one if it does. Excellent job all and thanks for making a product that can even surprise an old guy like me that thought it has seen it all.:thumbup:

+1. Thank you for what you do brother. I think of you guys often in my cushy sales job, making it happen out there, doing something you don't want to do, so I have the option to do what I enjoy. We all owe you a tremendous debt.

Excellent review, and only makes me want a S90V version even more. Just sold off my 154CM Manix 2 so I could justify the purchase. Now I just gotta find me one....hmmm

The Manix2 is one of my favorite spydercos. I just wish they'd make the 154CM version with a FFG.

The Manix 2 S90V is a great knife. I only wish I had more.Thank you for your service and stay safe.

Its a great knife indeed. I too would like to see a FFG on the regular Manix.

What would be great is if there could be a 'premium' version of it, with a FFG and perhaps S30V blade steel. That would be something!

I would prefer stainless for EDC use.
I could live with S30V, though, if it is FFG. Maybe with, let's see, blue G-10 scales...
