Just thought I'd pass on a funny story. I was flying out of a major midwest airport last week and almost had my travel knife confiscated at security checkpoint. (I fly with an all stainless,non-serrated,2 7/8" Spyderco.) I've had trouble before with it in LAX because "it locks open" but this is worse.
This checkpoint operator told me I couldn't take it through "because of the pointy tip." Pointy tip. LMAO Good thing I wasn't flying with any pens or pencils. Anyway I knew the Manager on Duty from having worked in this airport and he O.K.'d me and my knife to go through.
Emerson content: Looks like I have an excuse to buy that SARK that I had my eye on. Oh wait, that's serrated so that won't work either. D@mn!
