I know that fire photo. It's my screen saver. My cousin worked at Los Alamos and lived on the plateau when that happend and they were evacuated. Someone at one of the Nat'l labs, Los Alamos or Argonne sent us that. Nice pic.

The pic I have as background is about 400K. I'll look around and see if we have a higher res pic. It's so old now, I'm not sure we have another copy. I think this was the cleaned up pic. The original had smoke and was not as clear but I think the people at one of the labs (maybe Oak Ridge) cleaned it up before it got distributed and I'm not sure of the original format.

Actually not sure what area this was taken in. Seems like New Mexico, Montana and a bunch of other states were all burning at the same time that year.
