A Workhorse of a Folding Knife: Linerlock MSP by Reinhard Müller

As usual, a detailed review that covers everything the intelligent purchaser would wish to know about a knife.

Thanks for posting.

Where can we purchase one of these?

As much as I know, this knife is sold directly by Müller in Germany. I doubt, that he´s a forum-trader, so google Reinhard Mueller Linerlock MSP. You can find the site first. Maybe you can contact him via Email if he also ships to the US.

KInd regards
Andi

I went to his site and Reinhard answered my first email pretty quickly.

He has yet to respond to my follow-up question about whether he could add thumb studs.

I would buy this knife, and I may do so, but I do wish it had thumstuds and a tip up pocket clip. Great review, though! Love the overall look and I always love orange blades!

Thanks, Stefan.

I'd venture that many of us not in Germany who read your excellent review want thumb studs. For some, it would be a requirement.

Reinhard Müller is a one-man business, and his main focus is on the European market. I guess it wouldn't make much sense (economically) if he offered a version with thumb studs.

Thanks, Stefan. That certainly makes sense, but it would be our loss.

Is it possible to open the MSP one-handed -- like, for example, with the Boker Plus Excalibur?

Beautifull blade I have a backlock also which is probably one of the knives for that price and also better than many in a higher price margin.Fit and finish, overall quality, handling, looks, blade steel, awesome knife and Reinhard Muller is a fine gentleman to deal with.

Stefan,

What a beautiful knife & excellent review as usual.

Flash900,

As thumbstud substitute, there's 'one arm bandit' (in the old days) or 'kwik thumb' (IIRC, recent one) that originally designed for Buck 110. That might work.

Awesome review. I'm subscribing to your channel. Always nice to have new things to watch!

Thanks. Have no experience with these but unable to find any colors from US dealers other than black or bronze. Might be worth a try otherwise.
