My leg is doing a lot better lately, so for the last few weeks I have been able to start ramping my work back up for my current editors and publishers, and have been recruited by a few new ones as well. After the last ten months since I hurt my leg, being overly busy is being a good problem to have as my savings has long since been used up. One of the projects I am working on is a big piece on sheltering, reasons for and ways to approach etc. So being out on the recent cold and rainy days has been conducive to thoughts of sheltering. I have also managed to snag some new photos for my fauna flora data base I have been working on, and I thought I would share some of those here.

It is spring, and so it has been rather atmospheric here as usual

Wow, your pics are mesmerizing... I just want to hang out with you for a while. Thanks for posting!

Mist,
As always, nice work!

I'm envious of your weather. We still have a foot plus of the white stuff on the ground. With more on the way tomorrow.

This morning began at a balmy eight above zero. Temp not wind chill.

I saw a really beautiful one last week at the beach too. Love the feathers that seem to hang all over them.

Those pictures are just awesome. I don't know if it's the work of a good photographer, a good camera, or good editing but the colors, especially on the flowers pics is so so good. Highly enoyed this post!!!

Thanks man! Glad you enjoyed them! It was pretty cool out...low 40s and rainy, but nothing like that. I grew up in south Florida, so I had enough cold to last me a life time the during that record breaking winter in Michigan. It was interesting to document, and I'm glad I lived through a year of working out in it. The water is much cleaner up there, so I'd love to visit more in the warmer months but. yeah lolololol.... f__K that winter wonderland s#!t you northerners can have my share :)

They are really pretty birds, especially when you get to see them up close. Sometimes on really rainy days they will hang out pretty close with me as we all take refuge under a bridge or something. Once the realize I'm not going to chase them off and the clicking doesn't hurt, they just go back to stalking the fish.

Hmmm, lol, not really sure what to say to that lol. I've been studying photography for about 44 years and doing photography professionally for the last 13 years, the camera was a Nikon D7000, My editing consists of cropping, some adjustment of light and shadow, and increasing or decreasing color saturation to be the actual color I remember or perhaps just enough more vibrant to pop in the pics sometimes. Done either on the camera itself or on a free system from Google. At any rate I am very glad you enjoyed the post! :)

Amazing photos as always Brian. When I lived on a lake in Massachusetts there used to be a huge Herron that would hang out on my dock. He would hang around when I came out to fish or whatever but once the dog came out he was gone.

Thanks Jim. Lol at this point I think some of them have grown up seeing me in the different areas working and don't worry as much about me as they do other people. But yeah, I could see where adding a dog to the mix could get a different result lol. Like trying to do wildlife photography with a small child in tow. Been there done that lololol
