I was wondering about the grind on the WSK.I have been using my TOPS for a few months now and it Has really grown on me and I've had no complaints.
I was crusing the archives and I saw a TOPS and a Beck WSK side by side and noticed a differencs in the grind of the blade.Could a TOPS tracker be ground in the same way?

I know Tops does hollow grinds on most of their knives. I think the Beck knife was a flat. Maybe someone who has one can be more specific. Roger Linger does flat grinds on his.

I do not mean to sound rude, but is he, DRB, still alive??? I have heard he stopped making some knives for reasons of health. I can not reach his website by any links posted in this forum thus far. If he still is with us and can be contacted, I would love to have some kind of contact information so I could contact him (DRB).

Thanks,

The last I heard, he took down his website because he just wasn't going to be taking any more orders, and didn't want the site up leading people to think contacting him was going to get them a knife.

Mr. Beck was limiting his production due to an illness. He had agreed to cease production of his Wilderness Survival Knives earlier.
He did a limited number of them before calling it "quits". The knives were truely a "thing of beauty". I got one of the last ones, but sold it just to be ripped off by :

Richard James
3543 Tates Creek Road Apartment 102

for $368.00.

Do not do business with this low-life. I couple of other makers are doing versions of the same blade.

These days, I use a tomahawk and a 4" knife for everything.
Good luck,

D
