Anyone interested in a 3.5" X42 field junior knife£¿ I won't take a BG42 blade into field cause it's hard to sharpen, but I would really like to have one smaller BG42 fixed blade as EDC.
Or, are there any plans to put a different blade shape to the autoclip x42? How about a SOG's famous bowie?

lreed, a small BG-42 blade sounds cool. If SOG came out with a new blade shape for the X-42 Autoclips or a new knife all together, I would probably buy it.

What kind of blade and handle would you want an small X42 knife to have?

Actually, the field knife's drop point is already good enough. But a SOG's signature bowie will be really sweet. I am not too picky on handle materials: G10, zytle, kraton, lether rings, whatever made in SOG's quality.

I would like to get one of those too. X-42 Field Knife in a "junior" version. 3.5 inches blade sounds right to the point. I would prefer slab handles. G-10, Zytel are fine but no Kraton please.

Closest available is still the Field Pup, in AUS 8...
Great little knife, handle one and you'll see.:D

Yep, and it's one cool knife. Am wearing mine now in a custom Leather crossdraw sheath.:D Man, I need to get those pics developed.:footinmou I've been thinking that a folding Field Pup Autoclip would be cool.

I know sog has outstanding heat-treatments on AUS steels, but I still want a bg-42......

We'd all like BG-42, but it is expensive (relatively speaking) and a bit of a pain to work with.

Unfortunately, we'll have to make do with AUS 8 for now. It's a great little knife for the money...:)
