As a complement to C&H Knives' annual 'Best Bowie' competition, I've put together a little photo album of all the bowies I've been able to find since last year's event.

While by no means exhaustive, there are well over 700 different knives in the album. They range the gamut, some of them don't look like bowies to me, but the maker referred to them as such, so there they are.

Unfortunately, close to 100 fine knives had to be culled from the album due to the poor quality/size of the photos posted, so let that be a lesson to you makers for the future!

Lorien, many thanks for putting that together. I managed to count 32 of mine in there. Now I know where all my cash has gone this year!!

Most excellent Lorien - hopefully the forum membership will find many worthy nominees for Best Bowie 2012 from among these ranks.

Great work. do you know who the maker of the following knife is

Thank you

Thanks for an, awesome compilation with plenty of amazing pieces in there.

Does anyone know who the maker is for these?

each photo is tagged with the maker's name, followed by a number. Just hover the mouse over it and you'll see.
Some makers are very prolific!
I found it very interesting to follow these maker's posts over the year, and will likely do it again next year.

Wow. "Epic" is a word that springs to mind.

Thank you for making the effort, Lorien.

Kind regards,

Jos

would love to have em, but if they don't get posted on BF, there's not much chance they'll make it to the album.
I get most shots from this forum, from the gallery, shoptalk and maker's for sale forum. Also get some from that green place. Sometimes elsewhere but that's pretty much it.

Thanks, it's my pleasure:)

Thank you Lorien for putting this together. Honestly, how am I going to explain to my wife that I am looking at knives on the internet for the next 6 - 12 months, into the early hours of the morning ? And how am I going to do any work? Its just not fair is all. I am making a statement here for all those individuals who, like me have a bad addiction to all things sharp and pointy, Shame on you and thanks for your effort! :D
Cheers Keith

Thank you very much, Lorien.
