This is my youngest daughter, a very dedicated roller derby player and Becker knife lover.

She is only 6 years old but just finished her 2nd season in her roller derby league.

She has never had any serious injury's before but managed to break her arm at the local skating rink by tripping on a chair leg skating through the snack bar.

She broke both bones completely through and had to ride in an ambulance to the hospital. The first hospital that the ambulance took her too said it was too severe for them to take care of and she had to be transferred to Childrens hospital.

They had to give her morphine and knock her out on ketamine but we were very lucky that a hand surgeon was able to set her arm without pins so no surgery.

On of the things she said to me while still in the hospital, besides lucky I have 4 months to recover before derby seasons starts again was " how am I going to baton and carve sticks?" :sentimental:

Today she wanted me to post a picture of her BK 13 here and I said I can do better than that ets post you holding it. :)

Great stuff there BMauser. You must have done something right to have a daughter who is a Becker fan. I'll be hitting you up if I ever get around to having a kid :D

Praise God that they had a specialist and no need for pins. Be keeping her arm in prayer.

My best friends mom is a roller derbier. It's pretty crazy/confusing stuff.

Peace,
Cole

Hope your daughter heals fast. There's a Beckerhead in the making right there. ;)

Glad to hear that things worked out as well as they could given the circumstances :).

Tell her the BH's wish her a speedy recovery :).

Sounds like quite the fall! Hope she heals fast. I love that she's interested in knives and the outdoors. She'll have her BH number in no time. :)

That is one tough Mini-Mauser, fo' sho'.

And she has good taste in steel.

Way to go, dad, we'll be giving our best towards ya'll for a speedy recover.

At least if its pink MAYBE dad wont wear it for an ear ring but Im thinking he might anyway ;)

Hey Mauser, man the heart just stops when the little ones get hurt, don't it? One of mine went to the ER last week for a bad cut during cooking class (she's ok). Glad to hear this story had a happy ending too.

Looks like she needs to be trying a little harder on the Mauser family beard, though :D

You guys are so amazing. I read her this thread before she went to bed and you all have made her so happy. This is really going to lift her spirits.

She wanted me to tell everyone thank you very very much. Then she said " Hey do you think I should sign up on there and thank them? I told her I don't think shes old enough and assured her I would make sure to do it for her.

Thank you again my friends. :)

Damn tuff kid bro, I don't know why girls are so damn tuff.

My daughter can snap a BK2 just by looking at it.......ATTITUDE
