Hey guys, I just got home from an exploratory trip up the Sekayam River in Indonesia's part of Borneo. The Sekayam River starts from the mountainous part just south of the Pennrissen Range and connects with the mighty Kapuas River before reaching the ocean. Much of this area is isolated because of poor infrastucture for communication. My mission for this trip is 2 fold; first to setup a center for aquaculture in a village for training and fish livestock cultivation. The second is to look at how I could help in reconstruction of a hostel for the village junior high school. Backpacking and travelling on the long boat or sampan as they call it here.
