Very nice piece of generosity

in Finland we get Scarlet Rosefinches (carpodacus erythrinus) as summer visitors. The male is extreme, he looks as if dipped in bright red paint Think it may be a similar bird to your sparrow. Here, shown in late May with Siskins (spinus spinus) which are tiny but often bright green. Poor photo shot fast through a window but you get the idea.

Thank you all for your likes and kind words. I don't know the actual name of the bird in my avatar, it may even be a finch. I needed a user name and sparrow was taken. I occasionally see birds that look like sparrows with a red head... thus redsparrow. Thanks again Mark for helping to make the porch an enjoyable place to hang.
