A100 vs. cqc-7a vs. cqc-10

The A100 is not easily opened with the left hand. Something I was able to find out before making a purchase. The 7 is known as a fighting knife. A 10 was used by a policeman to defend himself. He brought it to the shot show and thanked Emerson personally. I saw that video on youtube.

What about fit in hand and other ergonomic issues? F&F? carry comfort? also which ones chisel grinds and which are v grinds? thanks.

All 3 have "V" grinds on the primary bevel but only have a single grind on the secondary (the edge) bevel. The fit and finish are all the same, being manufactured at the same facility. Only the CQC 10 can be opened left handed because it has a groove in the handle. When closed, the thumb disk on the A100 and CQC7A lays flush on the left handle where as the right side is grooved open to allow for thumb purchase opening. The CQC7A might be the easiest to carry because it is the smallest. There for that might not make it the best SD knife of the 3. The CQC10 also has an oval opening hole of good size instead of the thumb disk found on the other Emerson models. Because of the contoured handle shape, the CQC10 probably allows for the best grip.
The A100 is the only one without the "Wave" feature which pulls open the knife blade when drawn from the right front pants pocket. The CQC7A can also be found without the "Wave" feature. One note about the "Wave" feature, I removed mine on my Mini CQC8 beacause it always deployed the blade as I pulled it out of my right pocket even when I didn't want to open the blade. If you carry in the left front pocket, the "Wave" opening doesn't become a problem. Youtube has quite a few video reviews of all 3 knives. :)

Get a CQC 7b for SD although I would caution you on relying on a knife for SD. The CQC 7b was made exactly for that purpose though. Tanto point and chisel ground. I love mine and despite the naysayers it cuts really well. Here's a pic of mine.

I don't like tanto points. and yes I carry a glock. the knife is for other unforeseen circumstances.
