I'll be heat treating this guy next weekend I am hoping! Cant wait for her to get some use :)

Also A2 is cool as butter to grind on compared to 0-1 :) :) I was spoiled today by not having burnt fingers like you get with 0-1!!!! :D:thumbup:

Isn't the Fallkniven already heat treated? Wont this compromise a already great heat treatment by the factory? On a side note do you know if the NL series is a full tang or have any idea what's below the ox leather washers? I am about to purchase a Fallkniven NL3 but want to know how it compares to my S1 knives as far as construction. Thanks!

Brian is refering to the A2...Tool Steel (not Fallkniven A2) if I read you correctly.

Looks great Brian!

I made this knife from 1/4" A2 barstock. This isn't a purchased blade. Not sure what ypur asking.

Thanks for the comments. I really want to get this knife done but orders get in the way :)

I see the one your thinking of. Tip profile is very similar :)

Great looking blade my friend.

A2 is my favorite steel for a big chopper that’s still a knife,

…it features a great balance between edge retention and toughness.

ROFLMAO - I had no idea what that post was talking about until you set me straight :D :D :D

Well, said knife is at 65rc waiting on oven to cool down to draw to a lower RC :)

My guess is 10" blade, 5.5" handle and 3/16" or 1/4" thick???

Looks good!

Its 15" overall 9" blade

Its about a 5.5" handle but there is room between handle and edge.

1/4" stock.

Wow, that's sweet, me want one. Got me all excited and I think I pooed a little.

She is at RC 60 now. I'll take that
