A2 steel

Any recommendations for a large fixed blade in A2? I know bark river has some, what are some others? I'm looking for something 7" or larger.

Check out Horton Knives over in the Makers section. Jeremy does a lot with A2 and has a Camp Blood model that fits your specs (6.75" edge length). He is currently working on one of those for me. It will be my first Horton, so I can't speak much more to it, but he has a growing and loyal fan base.

What are you wanting to do with it? The new Blackjack H.A.L.O. knives look nice and are A2. I'd call them "heavy fighers" or general combat knives rather than camp knives, although they could serve in that role.

Not really looking for a combat knife. Just a camp knife, chopping, splitting logs, that kinda stuff.

You mean those are different from all other A2 BRKTs?

You have to look at the BRKT Bravo 2. I think it fits your bill nicely. It is an outstanding tool.
