I used my UNK exclusivly this weekend. Actually to be more accurate 3 adults and 2 kids used my UNK all weekend. We were fishin trout waters down south, and it spent the whole weekend in the bottom of a bucket. Wet, bloody, and out of its sheath. (pocket sheath was in my pocket) Not once did it get even a wipe on the pants leg. Im very impressed at the condition of the A2. It needs some elbow grease, but dang it still looks good. All those guys who act like carbon steel will rust if ya look at it dont know jack. I caught 6 nice Rainbows on a soft plastic minnow, and Olive wooly buggers....The UNK cleaned all of mine. A fillet wouldve worked better probably, but the UNK was plenty good, and just so happens to be sharper then the fillet knife my buddy brought.

Sorry for the blurry knife pics. I just got home and snapped acouple.

Great catch with the fish. Thanks for posting about the A2. It does pretty well agaisnt rust for a carbon tool steel. I've had several folks want a UNK for just the purpose you posted about.

Great pics J. Man I gotta get an UNK. Looks like the perfect size and that blade shape is just too cool

Just got mine last week. You need one tknife. You'll love it.:D

Debated on if I should get stainless or not because of my locale but decided on a2. Glad to see it does so well. I plan on giving it a nice patina which would probably make it even better for the water. Cool beans.

I need to make a knife with that blade shape! Good post :)
