I have searched and found a number of threads on how to determine if you have A2 or INFI (blue test), but not a lot on the usability/durability/edge holding abilities between them.

What are the major difference, if any, between A2 and INFI as far as these go:

  • durability
  • edge taking
  • edge holding

Thanks in advance.

Hi Dwaine!
Both steels are SO good. I have both. But, INFI is INFI.

Thanks Rolf - I have a bunch of INFI too, and luckily have a piece of A2 inbound.

Thankfully it's the Boss' A2, so I know it should be good.

A2 is the bees knees. And with the Busse heat treat, it is top notch. I really like the link with a number of folks "comparing" A2 and infi but state they never had A2.......

I would take A2 just as soon as I would infi. But I prefer the A2 designs more so that is the majority of my collection And my favorite Steel Heart users are A2. And my best EDC was an old A2 mean street (prior to misplacing it).
