A228 heat treat specs

I've been searching the web to find heat treat specs for A228 and I've been unsuccessful. I thought some of the folks here might know. This is high carbon music wire that will be used as a spring. Just need specs then I'll start experimenting with a balance of hardness vs. spring flex. Thanks for any info regarding this metal.

ASTM A228 is one of those steels that is spec'd to properties rather than chemistry. There is only only a general chemical range , .70-1.00 Carbon , and .20-.60 Manganese.

Thanks Mete. I guess I'll heat to 1500F and quench in P#50 then test hardness... temper accordingly to reach desired HRC.
