I decided today was the day I would strip my BK2. Thanks for the tips in the other thread it definitely helped a ton. And as promised, here's the pics.

Getting everything ready.

After first sanding.

After I got sick of sanding. This knife will be a user so I wasn't as obsessed with getting a mirror finish.

Thanks for looking! Any opinions/suggestions are welcome.

Looks beautiful.

Where is everyone getting these scales from?? I need a pair for my.

Sweet

That's about the level of finish I want on my 9

What grit of sandpaper did you use?

Thanks y'all. I started with 400 grit then 6 then 8. I prob would have gone higher if I could've found the stuff. But I'm pretty happy overall. I think the trick is letting the chemicals do the work and only use plastic to scrape lightly. This will minimize sanding out scratches from a razor or harder scraping.

The scales are great, got mine from tkc 41 shipped. Ironically I got them today right after I sprayed the stripper on.

Well done. Great lookin' mod, and an awesome blade.

Good work man. I had to leave the Black coating under to scales though. Didn't wanna be getting any rust under there.

Take the scales off and put some kind of masking tape, electrical tape or duct tape on the tang. Put the scales back on and trim off the overhanging tape with a utility knife. Slather it in stripper with the scales on and let sit for 10 min ish. scrub off the finish, repeat if necessary.
