I just got a Mini-Grip for my mom for mother's day and the Axis lock doesn't go all the foward like it does on the Adamas. Is it a defect or just the way it is with griptilians?

That seems fine. The Axis is "Self Adjusting". Room for some potential wear, should creep up a little as it breaks in. Lock up good? Lock bar fully over blade tang? If so, it looks good. If the lock bar is very early over blade tang, not full or almost fully over tang...may be an issue, otherwise, I think your fine.

Very cool gift, by the way.

I had the same deal when I had the Mini Grip. The Adamas and Mini Grip are designed very differently, so I wouldn't be too worried about it unless it affects lockup. :)

Ya lock up is good and over all it's perfect, zero blade play, comfortable. Was also worried cause when would thumb flick it out hard the lock would be hard to retract back but since i've thumb flicked it out hard about 500 times since posting this think it's getting smoother.:) Still not moving fully forward though but does feel like it locks up tight.

My Adamas has the same lock up as yours, all the way forward. It has slight lock rock and it's noticeable to me when I cut stuff. I might send it back to see if it can be tuned up, but they all seem to look the same from the dozens of pictures I've looked at.
