Is it considered to be a mortal sin, or a crime against all fellow knife-owners: to look at aftermarket pocket clips for a Chris Reeve Knife?
I'll admit to peeking over the fence at them; but have been reluctant to pull the trigger.
Does anyone out there have a favorite; and why?

I don't know why it would be a sin, although for me they seem far too expensive to replace a fully functional clip.

I do quite like the Millit clips with micarta inlays though.

No, it's not a sin. Your knife, your pocket, your money. I'm not too familiar with aftermarket clips CRKs, as I'm content with the stock clips, but your question reminded me of something hilarious Nick Shabazz said while reviewing the hawk clip from CRK. He called it "natures perfect snagging machine." Not sure why that stuck with me but it gives me a chuckle.

Thanks Guys!
I didn't want Idaho sending it's National Guard out: looking for me...

Millit... I DO like those inlays...

I like the LynchNW clip. its my only experience outside the factory clip.. Factory clip IS good though.

I think the after market clips are really kool looking, but the OEM clip works quite nicely for me.

I tried a Hawk clip on a small 21 for a bit but found it to be just too “ snaggy” with the way the thumb piece sticks out. Great hold but found that I needed less hold if I didn't have that clip sticking out. To me it was a solution that created its own problem.

I agree that there's nothing wrong with the OEM clips.
But the aftermarket alternatives might be a bit more stylish.
That’s the gist of it really. I just like the look of the millit clips. The factory sebenza clip is also beautiful in it’s own way…and secure. :)

I checked Millit: natural canvas micarta is out of stock...

The Millit clips are great, especially how well the inlay versions match (very satisfying to my OCD). That said, I find them a bit tough to get up and over my pocket seam sometimes since there’s so little to grab on the bottom end (they’re kind of pokey). They look fantastic though, as if straight from CRK.

I also highly recommend checking out Adam Purvis (APurvis) who also makes a great aftermarket clip. He usually makes them from more exotic materials like Timascus and Zircuti so they are a bit pricier than many of the Millit ones (although Timascus Millit clips are equally expensive). He does make plain Ti versions of some of his clips, although I’m not sure I’ve seen a CRK one. The one shown below is on my PJ Inkosi Insingo, and adds just the right amount of bling to me (and nicely matches the blue ano thumbstuds). It has nearly the perfect amount of retention and I have zero issues getting it into my pocket. Mine is apparently an older first-generation CRK clip of his, the newer ones are slanted at angle at the bottom (versus how this one is rounded).

I haven’t tried Casey Lynch’s CRK clips yet, but I’d venture that they’re top-notch quality like everything else he produces! Hope that helps!

The various clips definitely add their flavor to each knife. The RGT clips are beautiful and comfortable to use.

He drops a bunch periodically and they go quick. They're my favorite non-CRK clips.
