Recently purchased a #672SBX Apparition, knife is in nice shape I am assuming it is older because of the box stile it slides open rather than lift apart it has a removable optimizer torsion bar, now using it with the bar as an assisted opening will take the hide right off your thumb now this is about number 18 BM for me so it’s not-like I am a total green horn big question is was there ever a factory fix for this knife? Thank you Joe

I doubt there is a factory fix. My Apparition's optimizer action is a lot rougher than my other Benchmade assisteds. Try polishing the interface between the torsion bar and the tang ... it helped a bit on mine but it still didn't make it a smooth, easy open.
