About Blackhawk`s steel and quality

Google is your friend. The blade is 440C. I've never owned any Blackhawks, but after handling a few, my impression is that they're solid enough, but not anything special. They're mostly marketed towards the mall-ninja crowd, IMHO. I suspect that they are being made by Benchmade.
 
I have done some Google searching before and found anything specific about the steel. Even in their own site it si written only stainless steel. That`s why I posted the thread. Thank you for your answer.
