The best dagger...

serves to counterbalance the weight of your pistol.;) ;) ;)

The best dagger, in my honest humble opinion, after years of research, involving numerous daggers from many different cultures, time periods, and class, into the usage, creation, and tradition of these various daggers, after long spiritual and intellectual debate, as well as diverse discourse amongst fellow researchers, is the..............drum roll..............one you have in your hand:D

Honestly, asking the what the best dagger is like asking who the bestt woman is.

My dagger is made by this guy;

It's a pretty good one, but I still don't think it's what you could call "the best":D

The company is called Starfire Swords, and all the weapons are made of good 1095 steel. They're designed very rugged, and without edges/sharp points, to be used in live steel combat reenactment. I naturally put sharp edges and a point on mine (disclaimer: this voids the lifetime warranty, and Starfire disclaims all liability from damage/injury resulting from modifying it's products). What I wind up with is a solidly built dagger from good high carbon steel, that's a significant improvement over some of the cheap "reproduction" daggers on the market.
