What happens when the suppressor owner dies?

Does my wife own the suppressor?

Does she have to turn it in?

Does she have to redo paperwork?

Anybody know?

Each NFA item will need to be transferred to an heir by filling out and filling a Form 5 application with the ATF which should be tax free. I believe this could be avoided by setting up a trust for your NFA items before you happen to pass away.

In Massachusetts we are not allowed to have such horrible things ~

Would it not depend on each of the States Laws ?

I suggest you reach out to the manufacturer and/or retailer from whom you bought the suppressor. They will be able to give you state-specific information and can recommend an attorney to prepare the necessary documentation. Some even do it in-house.
