I would like to thank all of you, out there in the cyber-world.
This is indeed a wonderful place.
I am relatively new to the cyber-world of the Internet in general, and knife forums in particular.
The experience has brought me a lot of newly gained knowledge and above all put me in touch with many people I would otherwise never have met. I have had a lot of fun. Spent a lot of time as well as money I could ill afford, but do not regret a single moment or penny.
Most of us have probably inadvertently annoyed and even perhaps offended someone at some time. Unfortunately its the nature of the beast. You tend to project whatever your feelings are at the time, onto the screen. People also tend to read things into posts that quite frankly are not there.
A common interest in knives brings us all together.
Different people from all parts of the world.
Old and young, rich and poor, eloquent and gruff, educated and not so educated - the list of characteristics, that make us individuals, goes on.
Each with his/her own problems, needs, wants and circumstances.
And the beauty is here we are all equal.
Judged wholly and solely on our actions and words.
Not who you are or where you come from, but on that you say and do.
In the time I have been here I have come into contact with a lot of people, got to know some better and even made a few friends.
I have been amazed at some peoples capacity to be kind and generous to others.
People that I have never met face to face.
One such person is teacher.
Some acts of friendship goes beyond mere generosity.
I never expected to ever actually own a Sebenza.
Being retired and money a little scarce and all.
I have just received my first Sebenza.
You can image how I feel.
Ive got the shakes and my eyes are sort of glazed over.
Heart rate not to steady either, mate.
It was the exact model that I have lusted after.
The incredible small 2000 classic.
A forum friend, that I have never met face to face, introduced it to me - as a gift.
He is known as teacher.
He has taught me about generosity and kindness.
I believe your EDC (of choice) reflects your character.
Well, I dont have to tell you what Sebenza says about Chuck, now do I.
Before any of you get any bright ideas Chuck has told me he has more than enough friends already!
Chuck mate, you have not only made my day - you have made my year.
