I just got a bill from Apple for albums I purchased. Since I bought the property while married, shouldn't my wife be entitled to download the same without paying?

Why would she need to download them? Are they not stored in the itunes library and accessible to both of you?

Or if you have two computers and two itunes libraries, all you need to do is burn the album on a CD and then rip it to the second library. There's nothing in the world preventing you from making as many copies as you want of an album you own.

I guess you could put them on a memory card too and import to the second library.

Thanks... that's something I wouldn't have thought of.

iTunes does not offer redownloads (for some awful reason). But since, most of the music they sell now is DRM-free, and the ones that still do have DRM can be used on up to five authorized computers, you can just copy the files over on a flash drive. Do remember to keep a backup copy somewhere, like on a CD or extra drive.

IIRC, you can now share your iTunes library across three computers.

EDIT - just re-read carrot's post above. I guess it's 5 computers.

I recall reading recently that iTunes now also makes it simple to transfer music between two computers on the same wifi network.

I just bought a new computer and had to put my I-tunes purchases on it. You can go to the "store" link at the top of I-tunes and click "authorize computer," then enter your information, then transfer purchases. You can do this between up to 5 computers.

If you have a home network just turn on HOME SHARING and authorize her computer to play your music. iTunes will automatically copy any iTunes purchased content to the other computer.
