Aloha ALL,

Just wondering what your take is on this feature on a knife?

Ground on both sides of the hook or just on one side? I prefer one sided, as I can usually strop it on something to get the edge back somewhat...

but what say you guys?

God bless and mahalo much in advance!

I would say both sides. Never know which angle you will need.

BTW, just bought another Subcom (for my dad). He loved mine so got him one.
The other day at work, someone brought in a can of Cafe Du MOnde coffee.
Well, no can opener. No problem. My subcom F SHREDDED the top of that thing. Took some coating off but I can still shave arm hair!!
My wife loves her EDIT neckknife (we carry it when walking the dog).

I don't really mind because I can strop both sides with a piece of cardboard folded in half and compound loaded on the corner.

single makes it easier to maintain.
but there is probably going to make no difference for someone dangling or hung up on some parachute.
one the other hand, angle does matter when used to cut or undo unflexed lines with no tension in them.

I don't care much for a line cutter on my knife unless it's a dive or water knife.

In most land situations I can just cut the line with the regular blade.

But Mahalo for caring enough about our opinions to ask.

Aloha EvanWilliams,

:) Thanks for the great feedback, and glad you are enjoying my designs.:o

So you say both, like on the RESCOM, eh? Hmmmmmmm...

YO GIRLYmann,

LONG time no see! Yes, angle has to do with these hooks, but...

So you say single, eh? Hmmmmmmm...

God bless and thanks for your input!

Aloha knarfeng,

Yeah, I don't care too much about this feature also, aside from the types of knives you mentioned but...well, I got a FB coming out hopefully that *might* make this feature functional on land as well as using it for other things...

Thank YOU for taking the time to post sir.

God bless!
