I have an afck and I noticed that there was a difference in my afck and the other afck model. mine doesn't have those nuts in the handle like you can see in the picture the screw goes directly into the G10,but the other ones have nuts in the handle. I think mine is the older model. Did BM do this because there were promblems? I've been carrying it only for a few weeks and still no problem but later on is this going to be a problem?

Yes, the early model AFCK's did thread directly into the G10 scales. There were problems with the threads stripping so the nut was added. I may not remember correctly, but I think the threads tended to strip when carrying the AFCK in the rear pocket and sitting down but I'm not sure. Perhaps someone else on the forum has better information on exactly when/where the problems with stripping occurred.

I have had an original 800S version for quite a few years and
never had a problem with it. Unless you count me
wearing the little balisong stickers off. :)

It has G-10 scales, a pocket clip, ergo handle, linerlock,
ATS-34, titanium liners and a hole for easy opening.
I couldn't ask for anything more.
