I always read that the corners of a knife should be rounded to avoid stress fractures, primarily in the holes and fit the guard with the knife. What about Ricasso? There should always be rounded up too?
Sorry about my english.
You're probably referring to what is called a 'stress riser'. The less rounded the junction where the tang meets the blade is, the more likely a problem can occur with breakage, but there can be many other contributing factors as well.
