I recently purchased one, and noticed that the stop pin is loose and rattles when I shake the knife. Has anyone else noticed this? It seems to be very solid when locked open, with no blade play in any direction. Can this cause a problem in the future?

Thanks for any answers,
Brian

My older Commander does the same thing. I talked to Ernie about it, and he said he would fix it, but it does not affect the function of the knife. I just left mine alone, because I am totally estatic about my thick handled, single detent, awesome Commander to risk sending it back and having a new one come, or it not being perfect coming back, so I just left the noise.

I know what you mean in that aspect. My knife is perfect in every other way, so I don't think that I'll risk it by sending it back for such a minor detail. I quess that one can say that it really walks and talks

Hi Brian- I just checked both of mine and both of the pins are real tight. Just for the record. Donald.

My SOCFK did the same thing. It drove me crazy. The stop pin is not long enough to contact both sides of the handles. I took it apart and put a small piece of a pencil eraser between the pin and the handle. The rattle stopped.
