I bought a Strider fixed blade from a very reputable store and it just arrived this morning. There is no Paul Boss sign anywhere on the handle. I thought all Strider knives have Paul Boss sign on them, but I can't find it on this one. Did Strider stop using the Paul Boss? or did they just forget to put it on? Have anyone recently bought a Strider? Anyone know about this?:confused:
 
I have read that Bos has left the company, and that they do their own heat treat now.
 
Yeah paul hasnt done there HT for a while but from what i understand its still a quality HT. For the record Paul Bos wasnt "with" the company he just did there HT and he still does the HT for buck and some others.
 
That is because Buck moved to Idaho - IIRC so did Bos.

He still does the Strider customs. Paul's old shop in LA does most of the rest of Strider to recipe. Of course, if Paul is not there to supervise, the mark can't go on.

There are responses to this by Paul in older threads this year, but we know "search" is not so much our friend right now, corrections are certainly welcome.
