I found this thread on the Knife Forums on heavy duty kitchen knives and thought it would was cool. Besides making the case for heavy duty kitchen/chef's knives there are also some serious opputunities for adolescent jokes throughout the thread. :D

Heavy Duty Kitchen Knife Thread

The more I think about it the more I want kicthen cutlery made out of THINFI. :) Actually just a Large Santoku style Chef's Knife and a Paring knife. Maybe a Carving Set for Nuclear Holiday Turkey Carving.

Used to have this huge 12" bladed 1/4 thick and I mean wide 4" at the blade base "Worst-off" kitchen knife. That thing was obscene and it's sole purpose was to split live lobsters right down the middle before stuffing them with sourdough breadcrumbs, fresh basil and lemon zest. I could not have done it safely with a smaller chef's knife. Well either the lobsters revolted and stole it or one of the line cook's now has it at home , these days I use the Battle Mistress for the job at home. I'd be glad to do some personal chefing in trade for a huge Infi Chefs knife:D
