I'm about to order an Izula in OD Green, and I'm gonna wrap the handle in yellow paracord. (don't wanna lose it). Suggestions for next Rat? HEST?

I just recently started my RAT collection with an OD Izula. I am in the same boat as you, trying to figure out which one to get next. I was thinking about the RC-3, but I think something larger would compliment the Izula.

RC-4 or RC-6 depending on what you need and your particular philosophy on the use of your knives.

I agree with this post. I have an RC-3 and I like it. I needed something a little bigger and thicker so I just got an RC-4. I thought about the 6 but wanted to try the 4 first. I'm glad I did because I really like the way the RC-4 feels and I should get a lot of mileage out of it. I feel pretty confident that they will do everything I need em to but YMMV. if you need the extra length and or heft, the RC-5 or 6 might be the way to go. Or should I say ESEE-5 or 6 ;) Either way I don't think you'll be disappointed...or finished.

You will want them all - Next I would get the RC-3mil

I like my RAT (pre ESSE :D) knives a great deal. The 6 is a great larger knife and pure fun to use, however in reality, my Izula & RC4 are used the most for my hunting & hiking needs. Try a 4, you should really like it.

Well, everyone here probably has a personal favorite so you're obviously going to get different answers so, why don't you tell us how you plan on using it?

I personally only have 2, a RC-3 and a RC-4. For EDC, I carry the RC-3 as it is lighter and smaller. The RC-4 is my camping/hiking/woods/bushcraft knife :D.

I plan on in the future picking up something bigger so my favorite could change but if I could only pick one knife out of all the knives that I have, I would lean toward the RC-4. It just seems to fill that universial role better than my other knives.

Remember though, the man who dies with the most toys, wins. ;)
