Hey all. So I received a lot of feedback in a previous thread I had posted about a few days ago. Thanks again. I am about to order the ZT 0350 from kershawguy, but am looking at another knife. Either from ZT or Kershaw. Most likely from Kershaw because they are a bit cheaper and in my price range for a second knife. That being said, any recommendations on what to get if I am also buying the zt 0350?

thanks!

I have a skyline that i really like, if you dont have one it is definitley on of those knives you have to have at some point or another.

Pick up one of the Cryos if you haven't had one. Awesome knife for the money.

If you want something larger, go with the Junk yard Dog composite blade blem.

I'd get a Blur because they come in a lot of different "flavors" and they're almost exactly the same length as the 0350. You can never go wrong with a Blur (a couple of people will tell you that), and Kershawguy has blems for fantastic prices.

I'd also say the Kershaw Blur due to similar size as the ZT 0350 albeit narrower blade and a little longer. The variety, color and price range is tremendous. There are models with serrated blades, tanto blades, S30V blades, carbon fiber scales, glass breaker, etc.

Id say go with the junkyard dog composite....if u like ZTs u probably like bigger knives and the JYD composite blade fits the bill of a bigger knife....u will love it.

+1 for JYD, big but relatively light, manual flipper, good egros. Wierd pocket clip though, and no thumb stud. Here is mine I modded the clip a bit and added a choil.

I decided to go ahead and get the ZT 0350 and the Kershaw Cryo. I guess it was my fault for forgetting to mention in my oringal post that I wanted the secondary knife to be less expensive. I'm just waiting for Kershawguy to send me my invoice. In the mean time, I am still deciding if I should get the Kershaw Hinderer Cryo 1555TI or the 1555BLK Black Cryo. Both look sexy.

Even though you are decided on a Cryo, you might want to check out USA made Zing from Kershawguy, all black tanto, a small big knife as some would call it. Once those are gone, they are gone except for secondary market. Its a cool little manual flipper, pity its been discontinued

Cryo is awesome and a really good choice. I would recommend maybe something a little different than the Cryo. Maybe get something non assisted for the second. Plenty of good knives to choose from.

Okay, is there a reason to get a second knife as non assisted? Just wondering why?

Nothing wrong with assisted at all. Didn't mean that. Just a thought to change it up. Blurs are my favorite, but the little Zing (non assisted USA models) are a close second as far as Kershaw goes. I just like the variety. Do you want your second to be a smaller knife or just one that is a cheaper. If you want smaller and less expensive then the Cryo is a very good choice for assisted. Unassisted smaller I would go with Skyline or US made Zing. It's really only a matter of personal preference. Rest assured if you get one you don't care for, someone around here will probably buy it from you.

What's your take on the blur?

Absolutely love Blurs. Actually just picked up another this week. Weight, balance, profile, and looks just can't be beat in my opinion. Even the thumbstuds are angled for ease of use. Some people don't like the clip cause it isn't deep carry, but that can be remedied. You also have a few blade options, steel chioces and colors to choose from. Can't get any pics at the moment, but if it will help I can post a pic of my Cryo, Blur and 350 together to give you some perspective.
