Hello all, Land surveyor here. Thinking this would be a good EDC at work etc. I didn't really want anything larger than a 3.75" blade. Anyone have one & put it through heavy use? Steel OK? Wooden handles holding up? ....? Recently bought me a Gerber Freeman fixed blade, like the feel, design, etc. However, dosn't keep an edge long. My job puts me in all kinds of places & situations(water/boats, woods, swamps, marsh, construction sites,..) "Any" comments on the Activator Plus will be greatly apriciated. Thank you all, MW

I know this is not the specific knife you are asking about, but . . .

Bark River makes many excellent small fixed blades intended for real work. You might look them over. I'm jus a happy, repeat customer.

I was a huge benchmade guy (still love them to death), however foilist started it and I will add...bark rivers are awesome. Tough, goodlooking and 100% American made.

I like ALL Snody designs, to include the BM Activator+. I have a BM-Snody 210TK, which is the small activator with neck sheath. I've considered the Activator+ for purchase several times now. THe only thing holding me back is the D2. If they offered it in 154CM or S30V, I'd own one by now.
