New translucent green scale for my 3.5, and I want the opion of my Herd family. What pattern do you guys think looks better. The standard RHK pattern which I love btw. Or the ME frag design I also love this one its different and I like that. I just can't decide which one to get since I like both of them. I guess I am leaning to the Frag but I would really appreciate any feexback that you could send my way brothers

Thanks,
Dan

I bought the frag scale because it offered more grip than the stock scale that came with the knife.

This is really a matter of personal taste. I love the original pattern on the scales. I do not like the block pattern of the frag scales at all... You could give me one and I wouldn't put it on my knife. But that's just my personal taste. Just get both!!!!

I like the natural Ti stonewashed frag and luke warm with the CF frag but not to partial to the g10 frags...the textured scales are just classic...CF, G10, and Ti textured are favorites.

Now that I can get an Orange scale I think I may just go that route instead of the grren translucent. I have always been a sucker for orange, and that is the color that I feel in love with the XM the first time I saw one!!! I guess you could say it was love at first sight lol.

I've got orange on a couple of mine and like it a lot.

As for the frag pattern, it's a personal thing. I've seen it, felt it, almost bought it; still don't own any. I like the Hinderer texture on G10, C/F and Ti. Maybe I'll add frag one day.

Is there a pond scale in frag??

I don't think so...you can look at ME's Website, they have images of the frag scales, even if they're not in stock you can likely see an image of what was made.

No they won't be making tbe pond scales anymore. That was a one time thing I emailed Rob O about it and that's what he told me. I appreciate all the input guys I will buy the Hinderer texture scale the more I hold it the more I like it.

In any texture? You mean pondscum is gone for good?

Yeah buddy that's what Rob O told me in an email. I sent them one last week asking if they were goona put them into production anytime in the future. He said the secondary market was the only place to find them. I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news bht that's straight from the horses mouth literally.

Well, I'm glad I own one and am likely partially to blame for them selling--at least that's what some of you have told me.

I like both & waffle back & forth depending on scale color. For translucent green I'd probably stick with the original Hinderer pattern. On the regular green or OD green I think I prefer the ME frag.

I am sure you'll be happy with either though.

We need a Blade Forums exclusive scale....

Texture?
Material?
Colour (if applicable)?

Obviously needs to be unique.

I vote carbon fibre in a Wilson Tactical style pattern.
