Above and Beyond Tiburon and Buy Brown

I recently bought a Satin Jack from Tiburon through the exchange. During our E-Mail correspondence I mentioned that I wanted to have David Brown make a sheath for it as I'll be giving it to my Army Combat Engineer son when he comes back to Afghanistan in the Fall to again carry out the Counter IED mission. When Brian heard that, he informed me that David lived a short drive from him, and he would be happy to drop it off to have the sheath made and save me time and shipping costs. During the course of the deal, I came back to Afghanistan (I'm a private security contractor). When I asked David if he could send the knife and sheath combo to my APO address, he responded in the affirmative, and then made a gift of the sheath to my son in appreciation for his service! So, there are two Hogs here who went way above and beyond to make this deal go smoothly and to be more than I had expected. THANK YOU to both Brian and David!

And now, the requisite pictures: I know that my Son will take and send some from whatever exotic location he ends up, but here are some from my place:

Great story with Great people... my prayers go out to you and your son... be careful and thankx to you and your son for your service.

Great people around these parts. Take care of yourself and may you and your son be reunited and home very soon.

I sometimes think that most of the folks from AZ have been "heat effected" ;) :) BUT I have done business with both of these gentlemen and could not fault either...!!! I suspect that your Satin Jack is the finish twin to the ASH1 I got from Tiburon .... ;) :)

Yep, I am another that has done business with Brian and Dave, and look forward to doing some more! Must be something in the AZ H2O :D

I've done business with Brian several times now and with David on a couple of occasions. They are both great folks.

Stay safe over there.

Stay safe Steve, and I hope you son stays safe as well.
My pleasure to help service guys out.

Great story! Cheers to Brian and Dave, it's gentlemen like this that make this sub-forum community what it is.

Keep your powder dry, your knife sharp and come home safe

Props to the guys for their kind gestures

Nice to see the sus scrofa being carried as well ... often thought that the lambs foot tip was a good choice for many specialised tasks ...
