I saw this post over at everydaycarry, showing the contents of Abraham Lincoln's pockets on the night he was assassinated. I thought it might be of interest here.

This is his knife:

Very cool to see those items. It gives you a feeling for the person carrying them. Wish we could see a lot more pics of the knife needless to say.

Just ordered an exact reproduction from this place.

Always wanted to snag one of these as I am into Lincoln and his history quite a bit. I am a descendant of William Withers who was the Orchestra Conductor at Ford's Theater the night Lincoln was shot and have been to Ford's many times with my family. As Booth fled, Withers got in his way and received a stab wound to his shoulder from Booth as a souvenir.

I like the setup of this 6 blade Congress. Waiting for it to arrive still as I only ordered it 2 days ago.

yes. that pic gets posted every once in a while.
It's a good looking knife.

Of course it hasn't seen much use in the past 150 years or so.
Is it nickel-plated?
Do we know the maker?

Just shows I don't have much patina on my blade, so to speak.

This made me have a little more interest in a pattern I hadn't really considered before.
Hope you post photos when your replica arrives, mrbear.

I was planning on a short review when I get it and will tag it in this thread also.
