I have problems finding abrasives.I dont know where to look for them!Is "green chrome" the stuff used for honing valves in engines? What is Tripoli compound and Jeweler's Rouge used for(more than stropping knives)?

Daniel here is one Website for abrasives. I may have a couple of more, if so and I can find them I will put their URL's in this post.

Oh, and the abrasives I get and use are those intended for power buffing wheels. They work just as well as the powdered ones imo.
The green chrome isn't a valve grinding compound although some people do use it as a shrpening medium. The coarse would be pretty aggresive I believe.

Lee Valley has all the compounds mentioned above and a large line of abrasives in general including sandpaper, various belts etc. .
