Most of you have probably seen this, but those that have not, just look at the ABS Board of Directors Knife, to be auctioned at the 2005 Blade Show, it is truley magnificent, with a phenomenal list of collaborators.

I have lifted this straight from the ABS site - (I hope this is OK - if not let me know):

... the who's who ... read it and weep!

The knife is a 11 1/2" Bowie (of course) and 16 1/2" over-all. Blade material is W-2 steel. Handle material is Mammoth Ivory and was donated by Beaver Creek Trading Company.
The sheath is wood covered by Shark Skin with a nickel silver throat.
The following is the order in which the knife was crafted and the master smith who did that particular job:
W. F. (Bill) Moran, Jr. - Forged blade;
Jerry Fisk - Ground blade;
Joseph Keeslar - Engraved and file-worked back of blade;
James Batson - Heat treat;
Rick Dunkerley - Finish of blade;
Bert Gaston - Sharpened and tested blade (also was coordinator);
Greg Neely - Guard and ferrule;
Harvey Dean - Handle (frame type) and fit-up;
Steve Dunn - Engraved guard, ferrule, handle and throat of sheath;
Jay Hendrickson - Sheath complete with nickel silver throat.

The other auction knives are pretty incredible to!

There's already an opening bid of $5,000. Any bets as to what it will go for?

That is just wonderful, isn't it? There's not a darn thing I don't like about it.
There is one thing I don't like about it!
