Hi fellas,
Did everyone already know about the two awesome forged blades that will be raffled off at the American Bladesmith Expo Jan. 25, 2004?
The first is a Daniel Winkler Bowie with damascus blade and fittings. I don't remember if the handle is bone or ivory. It comes with one of those fancy frontier style sheaths with a matching damascus concho. It is valued at $4500.
The other is a damascus art dagger by Larry Fuegan. Of course it has carved and french grayed fittings and carved ivory handle with gold spacers. It has a black leather sheath with engraved nickel silver tip and throat. It is valued at $7500.
I handled these knives at Atlanta and Orlando and they are both exceptional pieces of craftsmanship. I'll post pics as soon as I can.
The raffle tickets are $10 each or 12 tickets for $100. I have about 50 tickets available myself. You can e-mail me at jpknives@cyberback.com.
