I noticed tonight that the new website is up for the ABS Expo. The link is http://absknifeexpo.com/

The ABS Expo now has a new format which has been covered on the forums. If you don't know about it check out the website. Come to the show this year and experience this new event. In 2009 the Expo will be in San Antonio four blocks from the Alamo. That should get everyone excited that loves knives.

I hope to see you all there.

I do some collaborative work with folks in San Antonio.
If I can, I will try to time it so that I can go.
It sounds really great.

Good looking website. Great schedule of events and a terrific list of makers!

I may have to get myself to Reno. I know that I WILL be at the show in San Antonio in 2009, if I am breathing.

I really like the new format for the show. More shows should have a preview period before they allow sales to begin. That way collectors attending will be able to see knives before they are sold. The fact that the popular makers are sold out before the show begins, meaning that attendees can't get a look at their knives, is turning a lot of people off going to knife shows.

I agree Keith. I attended my first Blade last month as was wishing for the same thing before I even got there. I liked the show, but a preview period is a fantastic idea.

I'll definitely go to the show next year. I'm excited to see that Don will be back.

Glad to see the ABS doing this. I'll certainly consider San Antonio in 2009.

Coming up with the initial attendance estimate for the '09 show in San Antonio will be a tough assignment. Especially if the new format in Reno is well received. The '09 show could be huge.

Reno has been a great show. San Antonio, with its rich Bowie history and just being a great city in general will only add to the Expo’s appeal.

I am definitely going to try and make it to Reno next January. It'll probably be my last time at least for a while (since Reno is fairly convenient and San Antonio absolutely isn't).

The new format sounds good and the list of exhibitors is definitely well worth checking out.
