How many of you guys are going to the American Bladesmith Society show being held this January in Reno, NV?

I just got into it, and I'm very very excited to be part of such a land-mark show :D

Nick

Sure Nick, Sure! Your getting real close to getting stuffed in that barrel!! :D

I'm just giving you a hard time.......I was so looking forward to that show......but it's hard to be where I'm at, and there at the same time. Enjoy my friend, and make sure you do a write up when you return, I'd love to hear about it. Pictures would be nice too....I'm getting tired of turbans!

That's great Nick. I know that was originally slated as a Mastersmith only show. Then they let in a few really good JS. Now, it seems they've let in a really good smith period. J.D. will be there. I am trying to go (just to watch), but family and school may have other plans. In any case, congratulations and "bring the heat"!

Hi Ed!

Sorry you won't be there too buddy. I wish you could be.

Sandy...THANK YOU for the encouragement...but if one were to look at the line-up of smiths to be there...it's nothing short of overwhelming.

John, I am just very very lucky! Nancy Hendrickson told me there was a little confusion over the show. The way I understand it: it was MS applicants only until a certain date, and then after that it was open to others. I just called at the right time. It will defnitely be a MOST HUMBLING show to attend.

I hope you make it John, it would be good to see you again.

Thanks Fellas, and please...everybody that comes by please say hello :)

Nick

Congradulations Nick; It should be a good show, Joe & Lori Szilaski and I will be there, looking forward to seeing you there.

Nick... You're gonna bring home best of show with that new piece we're talking about, right!!?? LOL! :D
And if I don't make it down there, maybe I'll see it when you get back? Man, best of luck and enjoy yourself while you're there...

Nick, don't be humble at this show, and don't sell your work short. I have seen a lot of your work, and a lot of many of the Mastersmith's work, and yours is as good as some of the Mastersmiths.

Wow, thanks fellas...but really, I'm just as excited as I'll get out to be going. It's the completion of a cycle...not the end of anything...rather the beginning.

Bill Moran was one of three that started to ABS, and now he will be there to see the first all ABS smith's show! What a feather in his cap to see how it has grown.

I'm just going to show up with the best work I can do and enjoy the show.

Ed, I'm looking forward to seeing you again, is Bill coming along with you?

Thanks again :)
Nick
