Absolute Confusion about a knife stamped STAG

I was given an itty-bitty knife by my father; he says to me, "Son, go forth into the darkness and sell thine knife on eBay." So, I tried. I have looked all over the internet and in books, well a book, to find some, any, information about this particular piece of cutlery. What I was given is a little 2" (closed) knife with a ~1.5" blade. It is stamped with the name STAG, over ENGLAND. The handle is plaid and hollow. So, naturally, I searched for Stag England on google and found little more than stag handled knives. But, I kept on searching. I took another one of his knives with the same pattern, a little larger though and completely trashed, and tried to scrounge up some more intel, figuring that it was made by Richards Sheffield England. And that is what brought me here; I read a post about the history of Imperial Co. of England that mentioned its absorption of Stag Cutlery. Since then, I have searched through the threads and have found it a daunting task to sift through all posts about stag handles and figured that I better just post my questions. So here goes: What is this knife? Who makes it, Imperial/Sheffield/Stag? Is it worth anything?

I am going to try and post some pictures of this little guy to help anyone who's willing help me.

Don't know much of the knife, but you'd get a better response from Bernard Levine's Knife finding thread.

I would hate to see what the trashed one looks like. That blade is screwed up.

Wow. Looks like whoever "sharpened" it last (looks to be recent) really destroyed that knife.

A shame.

Looks just like an Imperial piece to me. It has their pressed sheet metal handles.
