Walked in the house, wife had dinner ready for me. I changed out of my work clothes, started eating dinner. Wife says, "your knife came today". I thought it was my Tops/Turley #23 PSK knife I ordered last week (Iz is my other favorite knifemaker). She said its on the table, I walk up to it, and its from our very own Ethan Becker. I was absolutely shocked. I opened it up and its a BK14.
Now back in November, the contest was about how to make fire. I entered, and in the end I was given an honorable mention. Was up against some hardcore woodsman. In the opening thread, it said there would be prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Didn't know if honorable mention won a prize, but I went ahead and emailed Ethan my address, was worth a try. I have a Becker Necker BK11, but do not have the BK14, this is so cool. I am humbled by Ethan's generosity. I even called One Legged Josh, had to ask him, and he told me that Ethan had called him and they visited for the better part of half an hour. Josh said how nice and approachable of a guy Ethan was over the phone.
From the bottom of my heart, I sincerely thank you Ethan, you are good people.
