I have a modest collection of folders, not anything like my multi-tool/SAK collection. In my collection I have Benchmade and Spyderco primarily. Anyways, I have always told myself I never want a Spyderco with stainless steel handles. Well, sure enough, I ended up with a Byrd Cara Cara w/ SS handles and I am completely shocked! Sure, it's pretty hefty, but it feels so strong in hand. The handles do scratch kind of easy, but for around $25 who cares! For under $40, I'd say the stainless handled Byrd Cara Cara is by far the toughest folder out there. It has a rock solid lock up, absolutely no play, and I really like how you can choke up on the blade using the jimped choil on the tang. I can honestly say that I like this Cara Cara better than my Endura. It has a better lock up, the tang choil, and it just feels more solid I guess. It's just such a great blade and I am pleasantly surprised and I intend on picking up more Byrds in the future!
By the way, can any of you knife experts tell me how it's being held together? I don't see a pivot pin or any handle screws for that matter!
Thanks
