Just picked up a abused 560C from the bay. I am thinking of sending it in for a reblade and spa treatment, but before I do does anyone know are 560 blades still avaliable?

Hey badws6, I dont know, but just had a 500 re bladed. I always email Buck from the link on their site and ask first. Every time I have gotten a reply within a day...IIRC, a 110 blade will fit that frame.

If I were you and the 560 blades are all gone....I'd go with a 110 anyday. It's better than that sucky 560 blade!

howdy there partner
on the 560 frames
some time they can be rebladed easly
AND SOME TIMES
the frames dont take to new pins in the frames
and some tims they have to spin them
and stand them prowed
some times the worse happens and buck can not replace the frame so
they will send a new 110
at one time buck said they would not replace blades on 560's
or up grade them
i understand they will try on replaceing blades but
some times it dont work as you expect it to
this has happened to me but i got a nice new 110
good luck

Sent a email to Joe H. gonna send it in for a 110 blade ..If it works great if there is a problem I am not out much..I really am looking forward to its return.

What's the difference between a 560 blade, and a 110 blade? They look pretty similar..

Also, I know the handles on those are titanium, but is that rust in the indentations on the handle?

The blades are the same. They just have different stampings. At least that's what I can determine from lookin at mine. I have removed many 110 and 560 blades from Buck knives.

I don't know what that crud is in the handles, but it is not red rust. If Titanium rusted, the corrosion products would not be red.

I noticed the red i also thought it is rust. I was thinking it might be rust from the liners? I would look closer but it is boxed up ready to be shipped to Buck so hopefully when it returns the red will be gone and it will have a new 100 blade

Interesting. For whatever reason, I never realized those were holes, and not just indentations in the handles.

The 560 has no liners. Those recesses in the handles are indentations, not holes. The blade, both pivot bushings, the rocker, the spring, the spring holder, and the 4 rivets are stainless steel. The handle slabs are Titanium.

Thanks Tig, This is my first 560 so I was guessing. Hopefully the red gunk will be gone when it returns form Buck
